Learn a little bit about Justin Radcliffe, Beacon Hill’s Vice President and South Central Regional Manager
What do you enjoy most about your job?
My favorite part of my job is when an agent brings a piece of new business (that is new to them and me) and we win it. I enjoy partnering with agents to bring the best solution to the insured.
Who has been the biggest influence on your career path, and why?
I have had several bosses and co-workers help me with my career path, but when I joined BHA, Bill Pritchard showed me the right way to succeed in the environmental insurance space. His expertise in the field and drive to perform for our customers was very influential.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Egypt. I want to see the pyramids. I would also like to go to Fiji and stay in one of those houses that are over the water.
Is there anything people don’t understand about your job that you wish they did?
This job can be very fast-paced at times, but I always like to remind myself to slow down and make sure I am providing the coverage that is needed.
What advice would you give someone just starting their career in your field?
Try and hitch your horse to the most successful person in your company/field and learn everything you can!
What, if anything, are you currently binge-watching? Or reading?
I listen to audio books when I exercise. I recently just finished Heartbreaker by Mike Campbell and Empire of the Summer Moon.
Do you have any unique family traditions?
My family, parents/brothers have traveled to Akumal, MX every other year for the past 20 years and we hope to go again next year. It is a great place to relax on vacation!
