He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina in 1983, with a double major in insurance and finance, and earned his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1986. John holds the CIC designation and is a renowned author and blogger on insurance and risk management, particularly in sports and recreation insurance.
